Katarina Lönnby

"I do sculptural work, drawings and graphic art. Drawings are the base of my work. From the drawing, I choose to work in two or three dimensions.

My pictures and sculptures are stories. My pictures are based upon figures whose characters have usually developed over a longer period of time.

The graphic art can be scenes from longer stories. "Company of a Funeral", for example, is a scene from a script (film) of mine.

I also illustrate and write books for children. The book "Luna-månflickan" is available for sale since autumn of 2002. The story is about a little, North Pole girl who loves the moon and her adventures with a Bat."
